This division of METS supports families in obtaining appropriate services. This is facilitated through a variety of means including the marketing of METS services and facilitating intake procedures necessary for individuals to access services.
SERVICES PROVIDED:
Screening and Intake Services: This agency is the point of entry for all services offered by METS with appropriate referral made after initial screening.
Service Development: Provides direction and hands on support to individuals and their families in order to meet service needs. This includes supporting individuals to access services through government programs such as Long Term Care services, financial support and various employment support programs.
Marketing: To actively market and promote METS services to potential purchasers, families and the community as a whole.
METS Parents Group: Provides support to parents in order to facilitate growth.
Transportation Services: METS facilitates transportation services if requested by individuals. There is a cost for this service which is incurred by the individual or may be subsidized through various means.
Formal Service Assessment: As required, the SDA will facilitate the assessment to determine appropriate service avenues. A formal report with service recommendations are made at the end of the assessment.
