HOW TO ACCESS THESE SERVICES Individuals needing services at the Community Mental Health Centre must go through the Intake Service. The Intake is the entry point to the Centre. The Intake worker does the initial interview with the client and then directs the individual to the service that would most appropriately meet his/her needs.
Referrals written or phoned in to the Centre can be made by:
- Self
- Family
- Hospitals
- Family Doctor
- Schools
- Family and Community Social Services
- Court
- Others
Professional staff involved in one of these three ( 3 ) multi-disciplinary teams comprised of:
- Psychiatrists
- Psychologists
- Psychometrists
- Nurses
- Social Workers
- Secretaries
- Crisis Intervention Councilors
- Support Workers
HOURS OF SERVICE 8:30 am to 5:00 pm - - Monday to Friday
CRISIS INTERVENTION CENTRE 24 hours/day, 7 days/week
