PLEASE NOTE: Only Autism Society New Brunswick (ASNB) and affiliates have access to the Assistive Technology Bank.

  1. All borrowers are required to complete an Assistive Technology Service Profile form before accessing the Assistive Technology Bank.
  2. All equipment loans are available up to one month sign out periods. Extensions on loans can be achieved by telephone consultation and confirmation only. There is often a waiting list for equipment.
  3. All equipment is the sole responsibility of the borrower. Borrowers must compensate and pay for any damages and/or replacement of item(s).
  4. The borrower must cover all costs for the return shipping of the equipment through Canada Post. To defer shipping costs, loans may be picked up or dropped off at ASNB.
  5. It is the responsibility of the borrower to inform and receive permission from ASNB before any equipment can be redistributed or passed to others.
  6. Software is available for preview only at ASNB. It is against the law to pirate (copy) copyrighted software.
  7. Overdue equipment loans may result in billing to the borrower for the cost(s) of the item(s).
  8. ASNB can assist users in acquiring and purchasing technology that meets budget and service requirements.

All software loans are on a temporary basis and software is required to be uninstalled once preview trial period (loan period) has ended. Often software will require CORaM itself in order to operate. It is illegal to copy or pirate commercial copyrighted software programs and this practice is not condoned or approved by the Autism Society of New Brunswick.

All users of equipment must sign an agreement to respect Autism Society New Brunswick's Assistive Technology Loan Policy as stated above.
